The Town of Eastover is taking steps to assume final zoning authority for all properties within the Town boundaries. The Cumberland County Planning Department recently sent “Initial zoning” notices to property owners in the Town of Eastover, giving information about a public hearing. The “initial zoning” notice states that all properties within the Town of Eastover will be zoned to the same and existing zoning classifications.

The initial zoning is Case No. P07-85 and a public hearing will be held at in this matter by the Cumberland County Joint Planning Board on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 7PM in the Historic County Courthouse at 130 Gillespie Street.

Cumberland County Planner Matt Rooney will be available at the Eastover Community Center on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 3PM-5PM to talk with any Town of Eastover property owners who have questions and comments.
