Eastover Heritage Day 2010: Bigger and Better

(Eastover, NC) The Eastover Civic Club and the Eastover Community Park Association proudly announces the Sixth Annual Eastover Heritage Day, promising the biggest and best celebration of the Eastover community to date. The event will be held on Saturday May 1, 2010 at the Eastover Ballpark, 3731 Ballpark Road in Eastover from 9AM – 4PM. The Parade begins at 9AM at Armstrong Elementary and will end at the Eastover Ballpark. Visitors will experience a touch of hometown Americana. There is no admission charge.

Activities include:

• A 1 ¼ mile Parade to kick off the day including local floats and decorated golf carts, the recently crowned Miss Eastover
• An Opening Ceremony preceded by a Mac Williams Middle School Band Concert
• Performances throughout the day by local school groups; The Stillwater Quartet, and the popular Craig Woolard Band.
• A Car Display
• More than 50 Crafts Vendors
• Children’s Activities including Face painting, Sand Art, Bean Bag Toss, Spin Art/Create-a-Frame Balloon Toss or Race, Group Games such as Sack Races and an NC Wildlife Archery Range
• Lots of Scrumptious food, including hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, ice creams, a Bake Sale featuring the pies and cakes of Eastover’s best bakers, and much more
• Heritage Exhibits featuring a Heritage Farm Equipment Exhibit
• Raffles
• And Much, Much More!

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide recreational opportunities for all ages in the Eastover community. The event is made possible by numerous generous community sponsors who will be recognized throughout the day.

Join us for family friendly down-home fun Saturday May 1, 2010. Visitors are invited to bring their lawn chairs and stay awhile.
